めんこいなは、いそいでおうちにかえりました。

かぞくに北には白い森があって白いうさぎがいることをはなしました。

ともだちにも北には白い森があって白いうさぎがいることをはなしました。

白い森のうさぎはみんなしっぽが白いこともいいました。

でもなぜしっぽが白いかはわからないままなのといいました。

そして、みんなに言いました、「私のはなしを聞いてくれて、あ・り・が・と・う」

 

こんどは南のほうへ思いきっていってみることにしました。

深い森はとてもとてもひろくてなかなか南のはしにはつきません。

こんども疲れて眠ってしまいました。

翌朝、目がさめると暑い太陽の光が木々の間からさしてきました。

先の方には見たことのない木々がいっぱいありました。

そして、めんこいなは黒い動物を見つけました。

 

Menkoina hurried back home.

She told her family that there was a white forest in the north, where white rabbits lived.

Then she decided to venture south.

She was so tired that she fell asleep.

The next morning, when she woke up, the hot sun was shining through the trees.

There were many trees in the distance that I had never seen before.

And Menkoina found a black animal.
