「ふくろうこけし」が出来るまでをお伝えします。🦉

実は梟が好きで旅先で買ったふくろうたちが我が家の棚を飾っています。この土産品からイメージキャッチしたイラストを描き溜めながらふくろうこけしを試作してきました。そしてこの試作品を元に描彩画を仕上げ制作本番に挑みました。まずは油性塗料のUOILを木地に塗布します。木工家具の水砥ぎのやり方を参考にしています。木目調の肌を残したいと思ったのでこの手法を見習いました。「白ふくろう」はホワイト、「あおばずく」はクリア、「コノハズク」はブラックがベース色となります。このUOILはオリジナルの調合をした特別スペック品で、油性ペンでも水性ペンでも使えるようにしてあります。ペンは滲みが少なく水に強く洗濯落ちしないものを選んでいます。できるだけ細い線が描けるペンを使って点と線を重ね描きしていきます。わずか０．数ミリであっても違うラインになったときは消して修正します。（一般的なこけしの絵付けの一筆書きとは異なったやり方です）目の中にハイライトを入れて描彩は完了です。最後にUOILクリアを数度塗って磨いて仕上げます。これにより色が定着して木目模様が浮きたち自然素材の雰囲気が醸し出ます。さらには水に強く色の経年変化が少ない特徴が備わります。写真では伝わらないのが残念です。
I will tell you how to make "Owl Kokeshi" 🦉
(Please refer to the Instagram screen)Actually, I like owls, and the owls I bought while traveling are decorating my shelf. I made a prototype of an owl kokeshi while drawing and accumulating illustrations that caught the image of this souvenir. Then, based on this prototype, I finished the drawing and challenged the actual production. First, I apply UOIL, an oil-based paint, to the bare wood. I refer to the method of wet polishing of wooden furniture. I learned this technique because I wanted to leave a wood grain texture. The white owl is white, brown hawk owl is clear, and the Japanese scops owl is black. This UOIL is a specially formulated original product that can be used with both oil-based and water-based pens. I choose pens that bleed less and are water resistant and do not wash off. Using a pen that can draw as thin a line as possible, I draw dots and lines on top of each other. Even if it is only 0.mm, if the line is different, I erase it and correct it. (This is different from the usual one-stroke painting of kokeshi dolls.) I draw highlights on the eyes and the painting is complete. Finally, I apply UOIL-clear several times and polish to finish. As a result, the color is fixed and the wood grain pattern is raised to create the atmosphere of natural materials. In addition, it is resistant to water and has little color change over time. It's a pity that the photo doesn't show it.
