むすび丸は、平成19年に仙台・宮城デスティネーションキャンペーンのシンボルマークとして誕生しました。仕事は仙台・宮城観光キャンペーン推進協議会事務局仙台・宮城観光PR担当課長。趣味は昼寝と温泉めぐり。好きな食べ物は三陸沖で取れる海産物、秋刀魚や特にわかめの味噌汁。
キャラクターライセンスを得て、功（いさお）工人がその技をふるってそっくりに立体化したこけしである。ミズキの白をベースに光沢をもたせて、お尻の葉っぱも可愛らしく、年齢によらず誰もが笑みをこぼすそうな。
子供が遊んでいたり、机の上に飾ったりしていたら、きっと親近感をもらえますね。
