めんこいなは思い出しました。
白い森のうさぎのしっぽはみんな白いけど、
目の色はそれぞれに違っていると
オショシーナが教えてくれたことを。
そういえばオショシーナの目は赤かった。
みんなそれぞれの色があってよかったね。
かくれんぼうをしても誰なのかわかるから。

 

めんこいなはお礼を言いました。
「いろいろおしえてくれて、あ・り・が・と・う」
そして、イガッタナヤもお礼を言いました。
「さようなら、あ・り・が・と・う」
イガッタナヤがめんこいなの言い方をまねたので、二羽は見合って笑いました。

 

東には青い森が、西には赤い森があるという。
白い森と黒い森の仲間に会えた深い森に棲むめんこいなは、
ほかの色の森のうさぎにあってみたいと思い、
高くジャンプして行ってしまいました。

 

Menkoina remembered.
Oshosina told her that all white forest rabbits have white tails but different eye colors.

It is said that there is a Blue Forest in the east and a Red Forest in the west.
Menkoina lives in a deep forest, she was able to meet friends in White Forest and Black Forest.
Menkoina wanted to meet rabbits from other colored forests, so she jumped high.
